Privacy Policy
World Explorer collects account and billing data needed to provide subscriptions and trial access. This page summarizes what data is used and how.
Data We Store
- Firebase Authentication identity (UID, email, provider metadata).
- Plan state in Firestore, including trial end date, plan tier, and entitlement flags.
- Stripe customer/subscription identifiers for billing management.
- Optional in-app cloud data when enabled by plan (for example, synced challenge/saves).
- Multiplayer metadata such as room membership, friend links, recent player records, invite records, and room chat content.
Billing Data
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by World Explorer servers.
How We Use Data
- Authenticate users and keep sessions active.
- Grant and enforce trial/subscription entitlements.
- Provide customer billing portal access.
- Operate and improve service reliability.
- Moderate multiplayer abuse and enforce chat/social safety policies.
Data Sharing
Data is shared only with service providers required to operate the app (Firebase and Stripe) or where legally required.
Data Retention
Account plan records are retained while your account remains active. Multiplayer data uses automatic expiration for short-lived records (presence, invites, and chat state windows), with additional cleanup policies for abuse prevention. You may request account deletion by contacting support.
Children's Privacy and Safety
Where required by law, child users should access the service only with parent or guardian permission. We apply safety controls to multiplayer chat, including anti-spam and contact-sharing restrictions, to reduce risk in child-accessible environments.
