Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to World Explorer, including exploration, Live Earth layers, multiplayer rooms, contributor tools, and optional recurring support plans.
Accounts
You are responsible for account security and activities under your account.
Optional Support Plans
- Supporter: $1/month
- Pro: $5/month
Recurring support renews automatically until canceled through the Stripe billing portal. Core exploration is not locked behind a required payment.
Refunds
Refund handling is subject to local law and Stripe billing policies. Contact support for requests.
Acceptable Use
Do not abuse, interfere with, scrape in a disruptive way, or attempt to bypass the service, moderation, or safety systems beyond lawful interoperability rights.
Live Earth and Real-World Data
Satellite, earthquake, weather, and other real-world layers are provided for exploration and education. They may lag, be incomplete, or become unavailable without notice. They are not emergency alerts, not navigation instructions, and not a guarantee of real-time accuracy.
Open Data and Reference Materials
World Explorer uses open map data and may also use public OSM-ecosystem reference materials, including MapComplete-style tagging or building-semantics guidance, to improve how world data is interpreted in the runtime and editor. World Explorer remains its own moderated platform and does not promise direct compatibility with, or direct publishing to, external editing tools or OpenStreetMap.
Contributions and Shared Content
If you submit world contributions, memories, chat, room content, or other shared material, you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate law or the rights of others. We may review, reject, remove, or moderate shared content to protect the platform and its users.
Multiplayer Conduct
Multiplayer chat and social features are moderated for safety. Users may not post harassment, threats, hate content, sexual content involving minors, personal contact details, or external contact solicitations. We may limit, remove, or suspend access for violations.
Children and Guardian Responsibility
If required by your local law, users under 13 must use the service with parent or guardian permission. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervision of child accounts and in-app interactions.
Enforcement and Reporting
Reported messages, contribution submissions, and abuse signals may be reviewed for trust and safety enforcement. We reserve the right to remove rooms, chat content, shared world content, or account access to protect users and platform integrity.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Third-party open data feeds and provider integrations may change, fail, or return delayed information.
